ART 201: Day 1 of Digital Media Arts
Today was the first day of Digital media arts this semester and I was very excited to learn more about digital arts and new skills. It was awesome when Professor Echeverry shared his work with the class and he also showed us examples of the assignments that we will be working on this semester. I'm looking forward to using new programs such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects.
My name is Zoe Jarvis and I'm a freshman at the University of Tampa. I am a digital arts major. I love photography and experimenting with Photoshop. I enjoy running, photography, shopping, and cooking. My dad is active military, and because of this, I have lived in many states and in Japan. I was born in Havelock, North Carolina and lived there during my first four years. During my preschool year, we moved to Japan for six years. After fourth grade we moved back to the United States. We lived in Beaufort South Carolina for three years. After seventh grade we moved back to Japan for three more years. After tenth grade, we moved back to the United States. This time we ended up in Temecula, California for two years... and thats where I spent my last two years of high school. My family was then stationed to Tampa Florida, and I got accepted into the University of Tampa, thanks to my good grades and running!
I am looking forward to learning digital skills so that I can pursue a career in photography or digital designs. I think this class may be a challenge at times but I am going to give it my best shot. I look forward to learning and sharing my creativity with the rest of the class.
